Interesting Facts: Seaport Village was built on a landfill over Punta de los Muerto's (Point of the Dead) where Spanish expedition of 1782 buried those who had died of scurvy. Later on it was used as a railroad yard, it opened in 1980.The Seaport Village Carousel was built in 1895, which was hand carved by the famous artist Charles Looff.
