General Information:

Located downtown in San Diego on the San Diego Bay at Kettner Boulevard and West Harbor Drive. Seaport Village is a premier waterfront shopping and dinning location in San Diego, a total of 14 acres facing San Diego Bay. There are 54 shops and galleries, 4 award winning Restaurants, and 13 sidewalk dinning locations. Seaport Village is open daily from 10am - 9pm, and holiday hours vary. Many of the restaurants have extended hours.

Free admittance to Seaport Village, but costs varies for restaurants and shops.

Interesting Facts:

Seaport Village was built on a landfill over Punta de los Muerto's (Point of the Dead) where Spanish expedition of 1782 buried those who had died of scurvy. Later on it was used as a railroad yard, it opened in 1980.The Seaport Village Carousel was built in 1895, which was hand carved by the famous artist Charles Looff.
