La Jolla Coves

La Jolla Beach, California

General Information:

Located on 1100 Coast Boulevard, La Jolla Cove is within a short distance from the commercial district of La Jolla. La Jolla Cove is a small beach, which is tucked in between sandstone cliffs. La Jolla Cove lies within the San Diego La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve which helps maintain the marine diversity in the area. Open daily with lifeguards staffed throughout the year. During the summer, lifeguard hours are from 9:00 am to dusk.  Times vary during other seasons.

      

Fees:

Some free parking is available, but can be difficult to find.  Be prepared to feed a meter.

Interesting Facts:

La Jolla Cove is one of the most photographed beaches in Southern California.
