Natural Resources in Somalia

 
  • Mineral resources:  Uranium and largely unexploited reserves of iron ore, tin, gypsum, bauxite, copper, salt and oil.

  •  Water resources and Management:  annual internal renewable water resources is 563 cu m per capita.  3% of the water is used for domestic purposes, 10% industrial and 97% agriculture.  So most of the people rely heavily on farming.

  • Animal Export (Camel, Sheep, Cattle)

  • Land Use: arable land: 1.64%, permanent crops: 0.04%, and other; 98.32%
