City
Heights is a large neighborhood located between several major freeways.
Most of City Heights is residential. Characterized by a large minority
population, this neighborhood is also home to many immigrants who
have sought political asylum, as well as other migrants from southeast
Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Redevelopment
has been initiated by Price Charities. Some of the large developments
include City Heights Urban Village which is home to many nationally-recognized
retail stores and appealing affordable housing, a new police substation,
as well as Rosa Parks Elementary School.
