Change Detection product
for Mission Trails Regional Park (MTRP) generated using difference image overlay
technique.
PS: Images show two burn areas before and after the fires between 1998 and
1999.
The
product above is a change vector classification illustrated with band 3 of the
1999 ADAR image as a backdrop. The red, blue, yellow, and green colors indicate
the following categories of change, respectively: green vegetation decrease
(due to phenological differences), complete vegetation loss (due to fire), litter
decrease/soil increase (due to fire and recreation impacts), and green vegetation
increase (due to increased vigor of mustard plants and riparian vegetation).
The hilltops on either side of Mission Gorge road demonstrate change artifacts
associated with misregistration between the multitemporal ADAR imagery.
