The vast amount of seaweed and difficulty reaching the Tourmaline tide pools makes this site relatively unpopular. There is a quarter mile walk from the Tourmaline beach access point to the actual tide pools and a constant barrage of insects doesn't make for a peaceful or enjoyable visit either. There are sewage outlets and trash litter scattered through out the site as well. Also this site is close to the Tourmaline Surf Park. If you are a surfer, this is a place to go.
