Shell beach is a popular destination for tourists and locals. You may access this area by traveling to downtown La Jolla and by having to park along Coast Boulevard. This site is very busy during the weekends. So plan on getting there early and during low tide. You may find parking and also witness the sea lion rock area where they congregate creating a spectacle for all ages to see. Parking is free during the weekend, and if the low tide is during the afternoon it will be harder to find parking. This site is worth the extra time in finding parking.
