  About us

Kirsten O’Connor is completing her Masters degree in Geographical Information Science (GIS) from the University of Queensland in Australia. She is currently carrying out part of her degree at San Diego State University on an exchange program. Whilst completing her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, she developed an interest in GIS and remote sensing, and both fresh and marine water resources. She currently works part-time as an intern for Ocean Imaging, a remote sensing company in San Diego that specializes in ocean remote sensing applications. During her exchange in the United States, Kirsten hopes that her study and work experiences will challenge and ultimately strengthen her knowledge within the water resources and GIS/remote sensing fields.

Samantha Canterberry will graduate from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Geography and a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems in Spring 2003.  Samantha plans to develop a career centered around sustaining natural resources in part through the application of Remote Sensing & GIS. Her interests include environmental health & safety, environmental and human health issues and natural resource conservation.
