Description

Torrey Pines is one of the most unique State Parks in California.  It includes a trail network that winds through rare stands of Torrey Pines.  This area is one of only two on Earth where the Torrey Pine grows.  Three major plant communities exist throughout the reserve.  These include coastal sage-scrub, chaparral, and salt marsh plants.  The network of trails will take you throughout the entire reserve.  In addition to the rare Torrey Pine, the park also offers many other unique sights, such as wildflowers, beach views, and whale watching.  The reserve is open year round during daylight hours only and provides guided nature hikes on weekends and holidays.  There is a parking fee of $4.00 and no reservations are needed.
