This data set is the watershed responses for the Paradise Fire. The data set was create from the Burned Area Reflectance Classification (BARC) imagery from Forest Service's Remote Sensing Applications Center (RSAC) is in Salt Lake City, Utah and is a raw unprocessed image. The images were dated November 5, 2003.
This data was created for the purpose of supporting the Burned Area Emergency Stabilization and Rehabilitation (BAER) team personnel and report.
Many documents exist within the BAER project folder to support these map documents and data sets. These supporting documents exists on a variety of media types and formats.

The PARABARCA data was re-sampled to 30 meters. The data set was than re- classed for values of: 3 - 75 = 4 or High 76 - 100 = 3 or Moderate 101 - 109 = 2 or Low 110- 255 = 1 or unburned Mike Parenti, CA-PVT, Hydrologist and Suzanne Loadholt, CA-PVT, Soil Scientist defined the reclassification.
The image was also re-classed for hydrology. The hydrology data set was used to re-classify areas of large water bodies from all other values to a value 5.
